All about wool
Persian Rugs are generally made of wool and are easily and economically maintained. Some are also made of woll and silk. Unlike other fibers, wool is much more resilient, cleans better, and stays clean longer. Persian rugs are unique in that nearly all of them are made with the durability to last decades and even centuries with regular traffic and use.
Cleaning
Depending on the amount of traffic you have going across your Persian rug, we recommend that rotate it every six months to one year. This ensures that you will get even wear in your beautiful rug.
Vacuuming
You should vacuum your Persian rugs on a regular basis, at least once a week (more often if you have any pets) to remove the dirt and restore the life to the fibers. Please don't vacuum the fringe.
Padding
If you would like to put a pad under your rug, this will help prolong the life of your rug.
Restoration
In caseof any damage to your Persian rug, please seek professional restoration. We will be glad to give you a referenced to qualified, highly skilled and experienced craftsmen.
Blotting and stain removal
When spills occur, dilute with lots of water then blot from the outer edge of the spill towards the center. AVOID RUBBING THE AERA! For solid spills, take a spoon and carefully scoop up the material. It is always best to get to the spill IMMEDIATELY!
We have been saddened to find that many retailers and whole-sale rug galleries trade with overseas companies that employ child labor in manufacturing rugs at lower costs.
